"Happy Birthday To Bayard"

Eddie accosts the innocent patrons of the Edinburgh Castle, insisting that they sing "Happy Birthday" to Bayard. Of course he had to explain who Bayard actually is first, where Baltimore is located, and several other "useful" facts. Jeme and Chris provide a watchful eye - ready to make a run for it if required.

Jeme posted afterwards:
Eddie decided we should sing for Bayard. Then Eddie decided everyone in the bar should sing for him. he wouldn't drop it. He stood up and insisted on everyone's attention. Whenever anyone at all tried to go back to their conversation and mind their own business, Eddie ran over to them and nearly shouted "hey! Can I get your attention? Hey! I'm trying to talk here." I'm honestly very surprised he didn't get hit. We did sing. Eddie got it on tape. I hope Bayard enjoys it.

What was amazing was the lengths he would go to to make this happen. He didn't just gather some people from the bar. He didn't just lead the tune. He went to the bar, got them to turn down the music, stood on a chair, demanded everyone's attention, pestered anyone with the gall to ignore him, talked of how wonderful Bayard was, held out the mike, and led everyone in song. He then got some homeless guy trying to sell flowers to sign something for =b. (Yes, we did buy a flower from him.)

Nick's right. Watch what you say in front of Eddie Tews.

Note the lovely flower on the table...
